Acupuncture

Acupuncture places very thin needles at specific points on the body. Dr. Mike has held a Fellowship from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture since 2000.

How Dr. Mike uses it

Patients most often ask about it for back and neck pain, headaches, and muscle tension. Depending on what the exam shows, Dr. Mike may use it on its own or alongside adjustments, and he'll tell you honestly whether it makes sense for you.

Your first visit

The same consultation and exam as any first visit, so plan a little extra time. Bring your insurance card and a list of what hurts.

Insurance

Coverage for acupuncture varies a lot from plan to plan. Call the office and they'll check yours before your visit.

Good to know: Acupuncture isn't a replacement for a medical evaluation. If your symptoms are severe, getting worse, or unexplained, see a medical doctor first.
